We’re Nora and Elsie — and before we ever thought of ourselves as bloggers, we were simply two women lucky enough to be in the kitchen with Chris Ann and Kristin.
They started this blog years ago, with nine kids between them, and about three hundred stories worth sharing. They built a life around the table — one full of burnt roasts, late-night ideas, mid-recipe crises, laughter, and love.
We didn’t come in with big titles. We were just willing hands — organizing recipes, holding the camera, typing drafts, and learning far more than we realized at the time. They taught us that food wasn’t the whole story — it was just the entry point. What mattered most were the people, the ordinary chaos, the honest moments in between.
We thought we were helping.
What we didn’t realize is: we were being handed something sacred.
And one quiet afternoon last summer, it became official.
A Conversation That Changed Everything
We were sitting at the table, talking about nothing in particular, when Kristin looked up and said:
Kristin: “So… we’ve been thinking. Maybe it’s your turn now.” We laughed at first. Nervously.
Nora: “You’re serious?”
Chris Ann: “You already know how this works. You’ve been part of it for years. You care about it like we do.”
There wasn’t a speech. Just a quiet understanding. A handing over, not just of a website, but of a voice — of something built with time, trust, and flour-smudged love.
Why We’re Here
We’re not trying to fill their shoes. No one can.
But we are carrying their spirit forward. Same recipes. Same rhythm. Same belief that what matters most isn’t picture-perfect meals, but the stories around them — the kind you remember, the kind that remind you you’re not alone.
We’ll share what we’re cooking. We’ll tell you what flopped and what surprised us. We’ll talk about life in the middle of the mess. And we’ll keep making space for you to pull up a chair.
This isn’t a rebrand. It’s a relay.
And we’re grateful to be the next ones holding the baton.
Thanks for being here.
